Is it ever going to warm up? Here we are in the 4th month of 2018 and it is still winter-cold in the upper midwest. Almost feels like Feburary. I have projects to do out in the RV, and I am chomping at the bit to get started. Oh well, they say next week it will be more seasonable (didn't they say that last week too?).

In the meantime, I continue to collect parts for future projects... it's about all I can do I suppose. Project-wise, I have been working mostly on electrical/electronic type projects, because those are easy to do in the off season. And although I do enjoy the electrical engineering challenge, I am committed to not making this an RV Electrical website.

I am changing direction a bit on the Linc Remote system. I think I will start off with remoting the system using the inexpensive 433MHZ RF wireless relays, then install the Linc system later this summer. I am doing this because I am receiving more feedback wanting to see using the RF relay system than the Linc system.

But I will end up doing both systems as I have subscribers having interest in both. And really though, there is enough similarity that I can almost do both systems at once.

I am pretty much done with projects for a new backup camera on/off switch (3 different versions), a Elecrical Management System (Progressive Industries EMS), and a couple more - all I am waiting for is the weather to co-operate.

And if my dimmer project was not flexible enough, I am expanding it with a couple of "daughter boards" to provide additional functionality (for example, turning the lights on or off with a photocell), adding an on-off switch (for boondocking), and being able to turn the Auto Off timer on or off from the front panel. I am waiting for the circuit boards to return from fab, so look for a video for those additional functions soon.

I am looking at the possibility of purchasing a 3D printer as I have a couple of ideas where it would come in handy. However, it still seems they are a bit on the unreliable side, and I really don't want to require my subscribers to have a 3D printer to construct a project. I have looked into having a printing shop do the 3D printing, but so far they are very expensive. If anyone knows of a shop that does 3D printing on the cheap, let me know.

So the longer the weather refuses to cooperate, the more wild ideas I will be coming up with...
