RV-Project Information

RV-Project was created as the beginning step to log the building process of my RV-7A. As a prior computer guy, I decided that the help I had received from a variety of Web sites for both choosing the airplane and tool collection was invaluable. I hope that this site will provide the same help to those making the decision. If you would like to log your project, currently you have to email me for me to set up the permissions. Create an account and send me an email! Check back for the newest updates. Feel free to post new links, news articles etc. Email me if you have any suggestions:

radar reflectivity
We are a new company, with a new product, which we hope you can use :radar reflective fabric, to make an otherwise radar-invisible craft, seeable by radar. You need little of it, it is practically zero weight and volume, and could save your and others' lives. We retail it at $50/sqYARD, + s/h + 5% tx if sent to Mass. A craft may need less than that amount.Hope to hear from you,Harry Shamirthe inventor/engineer on this.Echo Co.37 Dwight AvePlymouth, MA 02360USA(USA+) 508 747 5803 ; r_da@adelphia.netPS:Our recent Press Release :“ Inexpensive RadEcho™ Radar reflecting, electrically conductive fabrics are now being offered, that reflect a radar beam back to source with strong echo, almost regardless of impingement direction, for air and marine uses. In marine uses, these materials are designed and manufactured to be bonded to masts of any material, and bonded or hung inside non-conductive hulls such as fiberglas and wood. Using these fabrics, a capsized radar transparent boat hull will reflect radar especially when riding a wave crest. In aircraft uses, these materials are designed and manufactured to be seen by radar when bonded to craft of any material, bonded or captured inside non-conductive fuselages/wings/etc. such as of fabric, polymers, and certain composites, or outside the craft for radar reflective (but “stealthy”) shapes, or absorbent skins. If assembly instructions are followed, the fabrics reflect radar back to source almost regardless of craft direction relative to the incoming beam. The fabrics never blow off in winds nor wear/tear just as you need them, nor will they injure people as aluminum reflectors may. Patent Pending NEW product: please contact us   r_da@adelphia.net.

RV-10 First Flight
From Vans Aircraft Web Site "If you called Van’s about 8:30 in the morning on May 29, and the phone rang and rang…well, we have the best possible excuse. Most of the company was standing along the taxiway watching Van taxi the new RV-10 to runway 35. At about 8:40 the big six cylinder spooled up (quietly, with that big muffler) and the airplane was in the air in about 450 feet. Takeoff and climb out certainly looked like an RV!"  Looks like it is on its way!
