Indian Lake State Park, Mi
Indian Lake State Park is located on Indian Lake, a few miles from Manistique, in Michigan's Upper Penninsula. For UP state parks, this is one of the nicer ones, even though the camping season is a bit short (typically late June through early Sep).
Indian Lake State Park is close to several attractions in the area, so you will have some opportunity to explore things. The beauty of Michigan's Upper Pennsula is a site to see, and this can become a good base-camp as it is located centrally in the UP. The city of Manistique is close by, so groceries and gas are easily available, including modern amenities such as pizza delivery to the campground from Manistique.
There are 143 campsites available, as well as a few cabins. This campground is on the main southern East/West route through the Upper Penninsula (US2), so reservations are recommended.
