Orchard Beach State Park, Mi
Located just north of Manistee, Mi along Lake Michigan, Orchard Beach State Park is a 168 campsite park, with a few pull throughs and full hook up sites.
The campground lies on a 100ft bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, and even then - Lake Michigan can only be viewed from the southern end of the park. Access to the beach is down a set of stars, and is not handicap accessible. However, once you reach beach level, it is quite nice. As well, many sites in the park are not level, and the reservation system even calls some sites level that I would not agree with. For example, the site we were on was listed as level. If you use this campground, be sure to bring along plenty of leveling blocks. A trolly does make a stop at the park so you can use that mode of transportation if you wish to reach the city of Manistee.
