Sleeper State Park is located in Michigan's "Thumb" area, near the small town of Caseville, Mi. The campground is adjacent to the beach on Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay.

This is typical of fare for most Michigan State Parks - modern campsites with electricity only, along with modern shower and restoom facilities. We were in a site designated as a pull-thru, but in reality - it was not pull thru capable due to a big tree in the way. Still, we did have 50Amp service.

An unusual feature of the park is free WiFi (although depending on where you were in the park, the signal might be too weak to be useable). Still, it is the first time I found a state park with WiFi, so hopefully the Michigan park system will continue to improve things.

The park is across M-25 from the Lake Huron beach, but it is only a short walk, and there is an overhead pedestrian bridge to allow safe access to the beach.

The beach itself is a day-use beach, so you will be sharing it with the general public. Still, the beach is quite nice, with the signature white sand we have come to expect from Michigan's Great Lake beaches. Since it is in Saginaw bay, the water is nice and shallow here... and with the sandy bottom, the water warms up quite nicely in the summer time (still only around 75 deg though).
