Straits State Park, Mi
Straits State Park is located on the Straits of Mackinac, between Michigan's Lower and Upper Penninsulas. It is in the town of St. Ignace, so this is a good place for groceries and gas. It is just off I-75, and it is a very busy park due to it's logical stopover point, as well as having the ability to access Mackinac Island and other attractions. There is a dramatic bridge view from the park, and you must take the time to view the bridge at night, where it displays all of it's majesty.
There are 270 campsites available, with some pull through sites. Due to it's strategic location, reservations are recommended. Many people use this campground as a convenient stop-over point, while others use it as a base-camp for the many attractions in the area.
