Traverse City State Park, Mi
Located in the city of Traverse City, Mi, Traverse City State Park is a very popular park, and someitmes can be hard to find a campsite.
The state park is typical of many Michigan State Parks, with electricity-only campsites. They are well-worn from use, and have fairly small campsites. They favor a 20ft camper more so than a 40ft'er. Still, an experienced RV driver can get their rig into the park. Adjacent to the park is a linear trail that goes into downtown Traverse City to the west, and beyond the city limits to the east. There are several stores, activities, and resturants even withing walking distance of the park on the linear trail. There is also city bus service on an on-call basis.
There are 480 campsites at the park, making it one of the larger State Parks in Michigan. Reservations are recommended (during the Cherry Festival, they are quite difficult to obtain).
