This page contains all of the various entertainment system projects that I have done on a 5th wheel trailer. For entertainment system projects done in a Class C motorhome, refer to the motorhome menu tab.
If you don't have 3 TVs in your RV, you don't have a RV. In this project, I add a TV to the front bedroom.
It's ironic that the selling point for me when we bought our 5th wheel was the outside entertainment center with TV. However, it is almost unuseable as the TV usually washed out by the bright sun. Not wanting to spend $2k on a daylight viewable TV, I did the best thing to improve the viewing.
Another thing to get rid of in my RV was the crank-up antenna. There are so many new antennas available these days that the crank-up antennas need to be thrown into the trash bin as they can over time, be a source of leaks.
Do you see a trend here? RV manufacturers install nothing but junk in many of the systems put into RVs these days. And that includes the stereo speakers.
It isn't "Glamping" unless you have Satellite TV service in your RV. In this video, I install a Dish HD system.
I wanted a method of installing the Satellite Antenna at the roof line. I wanted a temporary solution as the best spot for the antenna will vary. This project gives me the option of installing the antenna on the ladder or on the ground using the tripod.
