This page contains all of the various wireless remote projects I have created for my RV. You can build any or all of the projects for your RV. The projects can be built stand-alone or added together for a comprehensive system.
This is the project that started our interest in wireless remotes. We added a Lippert Remote control to the Lippert Ground Control Leveling system. We show you how you can tell if your Ground Control is remote capable, and the steps required to add remote control.
In this project, we review both 5 and 8 channel Lippert Linc Receivers for possible installation into the RV.
We custom build a remote control receiver that provides a similar functionality of the Lippert system. It forms the basis of my "distributed" remote control system.
We custom build a dimmer that is compatible with both Lippert Linc Receivers, Wireless Relay controllers, or as a stand-alone dimmer without remote control.
Installing the wireless base system, consisting of two super-dimmers. In future projects, we will add-on to this base system until we have a comprehensive wireless control system in the RV.
In this project, we add on to the wireless Base System with awning control (note: this project is not needed if you are using the Lippert Linc Remotes, as they already have an awning control mechanism).
Build this stand-alone wireless project using wireless relays, or integrate it into the overall wireless system. In this project, we have installed a wireless relay into our bedroom light switch.
We are going to control the power to the Furrion backup camera with a Wireless Relay so we can turn it on or off without having to enter the RV.
We add wireless remote control to the MaxxAir fan control panel.
In this project, I convert a Heng's Industries Vortex I (basic on-off) replacement fan to not only remote control, but also add a speed control, reversing controls, and a shutoff timer.
I build a custom "universal" reading light, then install it over my recliners. It features a single channel ON/OFF wireless remote with dimming capability.
